Wakatipu High School, Central Otago Youth Employment Programme

I have finished my schooling now thanks to the COYAP program and I just wanted to tell you how much it helped me because at the start of the year I was ready to leave with no second thought with no NCEA levels or anything. Lea decided COYAP would be a good option for me and it was the first time where I got the help I needed in school and actually enjoyed myself while being at school. Thanks to them I finished the year and now can leave school knowing that I achieved something. I hope that it can stay so kids like me can have the same support I did.

As a parent I wanted to say a massive “thank you” and appreciate so much our son being a recipient of one of your scholarships !! He has been taken on by local plumbers Hardy’s to commence his plumbing scholarship at the beginning of 2023. He is already eyeing up which tools will start him on his journey.

The ceremony which we attended was also really amazing and thank you for having us as parents attend. Really well done and insightful. What an amazing resource the area has.

Thank you so much for the support of our exhibition ‘Ko Muruhiku Tōku whaea - Southern Mother’ at Te Atamira. We felt very fortunate to be in the region and install the show and deliver an artists talk - which would not have been possible without your funding support. Thank you for your generosity. We were very impresses by the vitality surrounding Te Atamira and felt so supported by our community.

At Moray we work to provide interest-free loans to people in Otago who need help escaping from unsustainable debt. Your generous contribution to administration costs in Central Otago helps to ensure the ongoing monitoring of the repayments, liaison with the Financial Mentors as needed, and accurate reporting to the Board. In this way we are better able to contribute to creating a Central Otago community without unsustainable debt.

Thank you so much for your kind gift of $15000.00. We are already putting it to good use, providing essential practical and emotional support to New Zealanders who are blind or have low vision.

Losing your sight can turn your life upside down and it’s thanks to the caring support of people like you that we can help Kiwis adapt to life without sight. Whether it’s providing counselling, learning to get around or relearning daily tasks like cooking dinner; your support helps ensure someone who has lost their sight doesn’t lose their independence.

Rev Howley, St Enoch's Church, Alexandra

This was a major project for us to undertake and we would not have been able to do it without the support of grants such as the Central Lakes Trust. St Enoch's is a significant feature of Alexandra and now, with the work carried out on it, will be for many years to come, not just a church but as a meeting place for the community.

Guide dogs, Talking Books, support with technology, education and employment –and ultimately, independence, confidence and freedom. It’s all possible thanks to the generous support of people like you.

Thanks very much for hosting last night’s social hour. It was worth the drive ½ way over the Crown Range, back, and through Cromwell! Calum MacLeod convulsed me with laughter when he recounted his bike trips with John Hogg.

A great evening. Again, thank you

Last Wednesday 30th June I received a game changing call from Martin Smith at Central Lakes Trust to say that we had been successful in our application for Operational Funding. I'm not going to lie I cried and so did Bex in the carpark at New World. It just means so much to know that groups such as CLT acknowledge the job we do spreading the Love through Food to those that need us in the community, to have their support going forward means we can continue our good work and retain Bex as our wonderful Coordinator. Without her I don't know where we would be.
