Back into the swing of things, our local funders are coming together once again in a series of combined funding clinics to be held throughout Central Otago and Queenstown Lakes throughout 2021.

Representatives from Central Lakes Trust, DIA, and Southern Trust, with either Community Trust South, or Otago Community Trust, and a CODC or QLDC representative, form the group of funders in attendance at the combined clinics.

If you are a community group or a not-for-profit looking for funding, these funding clinics are a must, Mat Begg of Central Lakes Trust says.

“Each clinic involves connecting people and organisations. It is about sharing knowledge and networks, providing advice where we can, and generally making it easy for people to ask for help.”

Mr Begg says each agency has different funding priorities.

“Coming along means you can find out what each agency funds. What one agency may not fund, another could. It is a really good way to understand where your community group sits in terms of gaining funding for your community venture.”

Mr Begg also says it is about bringing community groups together.

“The clinics are a great opportunity for community groups to come together, collaborate and network.  Often separate groups identify the same need in the community, these clinics can bring groups together to collaborate and share ideas on how to meet that need,” he says.

The first clinic for the year is to be held in Cromwell, Wednesday 10 March in Central Lakes Trust’s boardroom between 2.30pm and 4.30pm. To register your interest email info@clt.net.nz.
